Simpsons became the Hudsons Bay and now it is Saks Fifth Avenue. One travels between Saks and Nordstrums on the above ground walkway - it used to be between Simpsons and Eaton's.
The Simpsons basement level has been transformed and is now a Pusateri's. It is a monument to elegant indulgence where the everyday orange becomes an art display, and where macarons stand as towers of sugar fluff. When I walked through the ground level of Saks Fifth Avenue I experienced a museum quality display of retail artifacts. It was a wonderful experience - where the 'art' of modern living is made real, albeit prestige overrules practical. This sort of this is rewarded -there are world retail awards. The finalists for 2017 have been identified. Here is the list for "Best Instore Customer Experience Initiative"
